I woke up around 9 and cleaned up my room a bit.. there is so much to clean.. yikes.
At 12ish I met up with Heidi to go hiking/geocaching. We did a couple urban micro caches. It was fun though. I got to walk around parts of Seattle that I usually wouldn't know. I picked up a 1945 dime from one of the caches. That was pretty neat. The second one was on this great lookout of Seattle next to this hospital on Capital Hill. I took some pictures with my camera phone, but they didn't do the view justice.
She went to her gym around 3 so I went on my way back near my house. I still had this travel bug I needed to get rid of so I went to this cache behind Husky Stadium next to the water. Whoa! I wish I could go back in time and send myself near there. I didn't realize how incredibly beautiful that area is there! There are lots of lilly pads and geese just hanging around. It is so peaceful there. No wonder older people always want to retire near a pond. I found the cache near ther and went back home to grab my workout stuff.
Then I went to the IMA and FINALLY did my first workout with my book and handy-dandy form.
Oh, and when I was putting my key in my 'new' thrift store swim shorts [I picked them up yesterday along with a shirt and a few $1 cds: Counting Crows, John Meloncamp, Stone Temple Pilots, and Crash Test Dummies].. I found six and a half dollars! Unfortunately the one half bill won't count (I think you have to have 60% of the bill) but the one and five were still intact. Woot!
I went 8 miles on the bikes (about 20 minutes) for a warm-up cardio.. thing. Oh man, I totally didn't know how the machines worked so I put in for it to just work me out on my ideal heart beat range right?-- BUT it didn't tell me that I had to keep my hands on the sensors the entire time! The people next to me were like reading books and stuff, so when I started to pick up my book the machine started beeping and flashing a HEART RATE NEEDED sign. It was pretty lame.. and just when I thought my 20 minutes were up.. there was the 5 minute cool down. I was pretty tuckered out.
I had to do what I went there to do though.. do all the stretching exercises and work out on the machines and free weights a little bit.
The stretch I need to most work on is the bending over and touching my toes stretch. That is one of my goals. I used to be able to do that, but it has gotten all tight. I'd also like to be able to do a pull up. If I was ever on the side of a cliff hanging on for my life, I wouldn't be able to save myself... not that that would actually happen.
I was at the gym from 4:25 until just about 6. Erin was supposed to call me so we could hang out that night about then. She had actually called at 5:15, but I can't get reception at in the basement of the IMA.
She suggested that we go canoeing so I walked near there and picked up some information. Caryn and I were actually supposed to go this day, but she had too much homework so she took a raincheck.
By the time I got home and Erin came over it was too late. They stop renting out stuff at 7:30 and it was 7:10 when she arrived at my place. Instead we went over to Greenlake and ate at tacos guaymas. Oh, Erin is such a fun girl to be with. She's really mellow. She has a great sense of humor and a great smile. = )
After dinner we went back to my place and changed into dancing wear. I've been back on my "dressing up" kick, so I sported my mustard shirt and schoolboy tie (it has these crests all over it from some private school). I haven't been to the Century on Wednesday nights but it was SO different. The place was PACKED with high schoolers (beginners) so I was doing a lot of East Coast steps.
It was fun though. Joan and Amanda were there, so I danced with them. Erin and I danced a bunch. Hmm... Erin. I used to have such a crush on that girl. I suppose it didn't really go away..
I keep hearing what Sonya said to me though: "You fall in love too easily". Yeah.. it is true. There are just so many great people out there though.. I alway say that.
Oh well, I should just concentrate on staying friends with all these girls. I'll be gone soon and really there isn't any difference between being a friend and having a girlfriend.. aside from the kissing perk.. but oh how I miss that.
Why am I posting all this?
Oh well, I'll be dead in a 100 years so what is the harm.
